In my short time as a teacher I have noticed ther are three communities of people involved with every music program.
Students, Parents, Administrators
These are not the communities but rather the people who fit into these communities.
The three communities are:
1. Verbal Supporters
2. Physical Supporters
3. Cynics
2 Positive and 1 Negative
All three important - In Moderation
Of course you don't want to many cynics but a couple do help to keep you in check.
Vocal Supporters are critical when advocating and advertising. Though talk only gets you so far.
Helping hands are always needed until that is, they just aren't helping anymore.
